Direct Debits can now be set up over the Internet.

All the normal Direct Debit safeguards and guarantees apply. No changes in the amount, date or frequency to be debited can be made without notifying you at least 10 working days in advance of your account being debited.

In the event of any error, you're entitled to an immediate refund from your bank or building society.

You have the right to cancel a Direct Debit instruction at any time simply by writing to your bank or building society.

Data protection and fraud prevention

The information given on this form may be held on our database to enable Place City Council meet its statutory duties. We may use the information provided to prevent and detect fraud. We may also share this information with other council or agencies that handle public funds.

Instalments date

Your payment will be deducted on your chosen date, the 1st, 15th or 25th of each month.

Is your account in arrears?

If your account is subject to a Summons you will need to contact us for a Direct Debit on the summonsed amount. However, if you complete this form, your future council tax payments will be taken by Direct Debit.

Joint account

If you have a joint bank account that requires two or more signatures, we will not be able to process your direct debit online. You'll need to fill in a Paper mandate form to sign up.
