There is lots of support available that you can request directly, without requesting support from adult social care.

What is Adult Social care?

 

Adult social services cover a range of support and activities to support people who:

  • are older 
  • live with a disability or a physical or mental illness

You can get in touch with us if you need help with things like:

  • daily tasks to look after yourself and your family
  • your mental health
  • household tasks and safety
  • getting around and taking part in activities

We can give you advice and recommend support, including:

  • making connections with support in your community
  • equipment or home adaptations to support you with daily tasks
  • home monitoring and personal alarms
  • personal care at home – initial CA assessment
  • supported housing options and care homes
  • specialist support for visually impaired, deaf and deafblind people
  • mobility requests
